A secondary school in West Cumbria welcomed young pupils from several nearby primary schools for a day of exciting education.

Workington Academy welcomed Year 5 pupils from Victoria Juniors, Beckstone Primary, Westfield Primary, Flimby Primary, and Derwent Vale for Heroes and Legends Day on Friday, July 5.

A spokesperson from Workington Academy said: “Our young heroes participated in exciting lessons across the board, from mastering mathematical mysteries to unleashing their inner thespians in Drama.

“They explored artistic expression in art and dance, braved challenges in PE, got coding with computer science, broadcast a radio drama live on Workington Academy Radio and created musical masterpieces.‍
