OVER 100 homes are currently without power in Allerdale.
An unexpected incident has caused a power cut around Oughterside and Allerby areas, which initially affected 446 properties.
The power cut was first reported at 4.01pm on July 8, with an estimated restoration time of 7.01pm the same day.
Electricity North West engineers are currently on site.
As of 6.30pm, the number of homes affected has reduced to 128.
A spokesperson from Electricity North West said: "This power cut has been caused by an unexpected incident on the high voltage cable that provides electricity to your home or business.
"We didn't know before your electricity went off that this was going to happen but now we know, rest assured we will get your power back on safely and as quickly as possible."
