A Cumbrian artist is set to host an exhibition in aid of a Longtown church.
Michael Batey from Welton will host his latest exhibition titled 'Art and Creation' at Kirkandrews upon Esk Church, Longtown on Saturday, August 3, and Sunday, August 4.
Michael is known for his 'Turneresque' landscapes of Cumbria and Scotland but is hoping to show the viewers a different side to his creative talents at his latest exhibition.
The exhibition will feature a variety of Michael's work including landscapes, figurative drawings, and sculptures, with the event aiming to raise funds for the church's organ which is currently undergoing restoration.
Ahead of the exhibition, Michael said: "My works on show will include landscapes and figurative drawings in different mediums and sculpture.
"My objective is to help raise funds for the restoration of the church organ which needs a major refurbishment with 30 per cent of all sales going to the fund."
Entry to the exhibition is free although donations for the organ fund are requested and the event will feature a pop-up tea room with drinks and home bakes available.
