Residents in Carlisle could receive their milk a day early after a company gave the option to drivers so they could enjoy the Euro 2024 final.
Family-run milk delivery business, McQueens Dairies, has rescheduled some milk rounds to allow drivers to watch and support England in Sunday's final.
The one-off change, part of its initiative "It’s Coming Home (Early!)", means home deliveries could occur on Sunday rather than Monday.
"After Thursday’s game against Netherlands, we were inundated with holiday requests from our drivers eager to support England," said Calum McQueen, director of McQueens Dairies.
"Instead of requiring them to take a holiday, we’ve allowed them to swap their milk rounds, ensuring our drivers can be part of the national celebrations whilst maintaining our high standards for customers."
The company reassured that no businesses or nurseries will be affected by this change and that customers will be notified by email.
