Cumberland Council is gearing up to host a free summer fete at Distington Walled Garden.
Building upon the success of its previous events, the council is eager to give a platform to creators once again by organising another Artisan Fete from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, July 27.
Visitors can expect to see an assortment of businesses displaying their craftsmanship along with an outdoor market.
A diverse collection of handmade items including woodcarvings, leather goods, soft furnishings, and candles will be on offer.
For food lovers, the new café situated within the serene surroundings of Distington Walled Garden will be open between 10am and 2pm.
From 2pm to 3pm, only refreshments like cakes and scones will be served.
A major hit of the last event, the alpacas and pygmy goats, are set to return.
They will be at the event until around 2pm.
For a minimum fee, visitors can lead these endearing animals on a short walk and learn more about them.
Councillor Anne Quilter, Cumberland Council’s executive member for Vibrant and Healthy Places, said: "Previous events at Distington Victorian Walled Garden have been a great success.
"This event will showcase local businesses and will be a fun-filled day for the whole family, with plenty of entertainment to be enjoyed.
“The Artisan Fete will feature a wide range of stalls catering to the varied interests of visitors.
“If you're looking for an event that has something for everyone, look no further.
"This is an event that offers an incredible experience that you won't want to miss.”
