Watchtree Nature Reserve Ltd has unveiled an enchanting new children's tale, 'The Adventures of Flash and Iris'.
The extraordinary venture, penned and illustrated by Anja Phoenix of Tale Trails, is a blend of imaginative storytelling and nature education.
The new tale, backed by corporate sponsorship and additional funding, aims to foster love for the natural world.
The Adventures of Flash and Iris tells the whimsical story of Flash the Great Crested Newt and Iris the Skylark.
The two characters whisk readers on a journey through the history of Watchtree Nature Reserve.
Anja Phoenix, acclaimed for her work at Tale Trails, has skilfully crafted this children's tale.
The narrative and vibrant illustrations bring to life the magical world of Flash and Iris.
Watchtree Nature Reserve's manager, Ryan Dobson, said: "We are thrilled to partner with Anja Phoenix and Tale Trails for this wonderful project.
"Her creative vision aligns perfectly with our mission to foster a deeper connection between the community and the natural world."
The fruition of The Adventures of Flash and Iris was possible due to sponsorship from Bimson Haulage.
Additional support came from Coop Community Causes, Tesco Stronger Starts, and Noble Trust.
Their contributions have `led to the installation of complementary character boards.
These boards, spread around the trails, entice visitors to explore, discover, and capture snapshots.
The Adventures of Flash and Iris is currently up for grabs at Watchtree Nature Reserve’s visitor's centre and Tourist Information Centre in Carlisle City Centre—available free of charge.
