A popular Carlisle pop-up shop has announced with 'heavy hearts' that it will not return this winter.

Local duo Hannah Pearson and Rebecca Dockerty started Carlisle Creative in 2018 and recently hosted their summer pop-up which took place between Friday, June 28, and Sunday, July 7 on Paternoster Row.

The pop-up, as well as featuring goods from the pair's businesses Hannah's Bob Loves Landy and Rebecca's Maud and Evelyn, also showcased products from 20 local businesses such as Emelia Soaps, Victorian Candle Company, and mosaic artist Helen Clues.

This event also followed the duo's winter 2023 pop-up and first-ever spring pop-up in March, however, despite the success and popularity of their latest pop-up, the pair have announced that they will not be returning for their scheduled store in November.

In a social media statement, they said: "Firstly, a huge huge thank you to all our amazing makers and customers for all your hard work, support and for making our summer pop-up the event that it was.

"These pop-ups take a considerable amount of time and effort from both of us and several members of our families and are very intense when they are open.

"We love what we have built in the last five years, but if we want to be able to do this more we have concluded that we need to take some time to step back and get some rest and space to explore future options.

"Therefore, it is with heavy hearts that we have made the decision not to run a November pop-up this year."

The duo also thanked the local 'creative community' and wished them well on their future endeavours.

They said: "We love the creative community that we are lucky enough to be a part of and wish you the very best in the months to come and are sorry that we won’t be out there with you this time."
