The organiser of an Ibiza club night has promised Carlisle locals a night unlike anything they have ever seen before ahead of this weekend's events.
Juan Latour has been running Ibiza Mania Dance Events since the 90s and now he wants to relive the glory of the Spanish party destination in Carlisle.
He is hosting three events at Box Arena in Carlisle this weekend, starting with an under 18 rave on Friday night, an over 18 party on the Saturday and one for all the family on Sunday.
Speaking to the News and Star, Juan suggests that a huge amount of work has gone into these events, and he's excited to see them come into fruition.
He said: "It's going to be spectacular. The kit that we're taking in there is phenomenal. Carlisle won't have seen anything like it before, especially inside a club. It's a big big operation, it's taken five days to set up. I've thrown everything at it, I've seen what other people have done and I want to better it. We've really gone to town with production.
"For me, because of the amount of effort that we are putting in, we just want as many people as possible to enjoy it. It is about the numbers, it's about people coming along and feeling like they've had a really good time. This isn't a business thing for me, it's just something I would like to feel it one more time as somebody who enjoyed the events back in the day, before hanging up my boots."
Performers will include DJ Summer Evans, who recently DJ'ed at Brunton Park for the Euro 2024 final and singer Selina Autumn, who Juan had nothing but praise for.
He said: "She came to our first event back in May. She is unbelievable. She has a powerhouse of a voice and belts out the tracks, it's effortless. I'm really glad to have her back."
Tickets for the events, which run from 7pm until 11am on Friday, 10pm until 3am on Saturday and 2pm until 4pm on Sunday, are available to buy online.
