A WEST Cumbrian teenager will be representing Team GB in a Dog Agility Show.
Josh Tyson, 14, of Seascale, has been picked to represent the nation at a junior event.
This will take place between July 18 and July 21 in Belgium.
Josh said: "The sport is based around dog agility. I've appeared on Crufts on Channel 4, I've done some trials and I've been picked to go over to Belgium to represent Great Britain.
"I'm feeling excited about it but also quite nervous. It's brilliant to be representing Great Britain, I'm very honoured.
"I started the hobby just before Covid began, and once restrictions started to lift, I could start competing.
"There's a local club in our village that does this sort of thing, I thought I'd give it a go and it's just snowballed from there.
"I own four dogs. The one that's going to Belgium is called Maddy and is a labrador retriever. I've got two collies, one of which is a puppy that I'm training, and the other dog is injured so is having physiotherapy. I've also got a border terrier who's 13 now."
