The Grimwood Museum Adventure is set to take over Cumbria's Museum of Military Life.

Part of a national initiative organised by Kids in Museums and Simon & Schuster Children’s Books, the interactive trail coincides with the latest instalment, Party Animals, of the popular Grimwood book series by Nadia Shireen.

Visitors can pick up a free activity sheet and explore the museum alongside mischievous fox cubs, Ted and Nancy, who themselves are discovering the forest of Grimwood.

On completing the trail, participants receive a free Grimwood sticker to commemorate their expedition.

The Grimwood Museum Adventure is part of a nationwide summer programme, with over 50 museums participating across the UK to encourage families to use their facilities.

Set to run from August 3 to August 26 2024, the event also encompasses a collective competition where children can design their own Grimwood-themed bird's nest using items from the museum's collection.

Their drawings can be shared on social platforms such as X, formerly Twitter, or Instagram using the hashtag #GrimwoodMuseumAdventure for a chance to win a signed Grimwood book bundle and a Double Art Pass Plus Kids sponsored by Art Fund.
