THE PE department at The Whitehaven Academy hosting an awards evening.
The school welcomed guest weeker Chris Young who congratulated the young people on winning the awards.
In a post on social media, The Whitehaven Academy wrote: "Last week, the PE Department hosted the annual Sports Award Evening with special guest speaker Chris Young.
"It was a very special night full of celebration, reflection, and drive for the year ahead. A huge thank you to all our students, parents, and carers for your effort and support over the year, and a massive thank you to Chris for a truly inspirational speech, next year's speaker has huge shoes to fill.
"Congratulations to all our award winners, wishing you all a sporty summer holiday."
