A Carlisle primary school has hosted a summer festival for its students that has been described as being 'bigger than ever.'
Kingmoor Nursery and Infant School on Carlisle's Hether Drive held its annual Kingfest on Monday, July 15.
The festival saw pupils at the primary school enjoy fairground rides, a karaoke bus, a silent disco, and a bouncy castle as well as being visited by Cumbria Police and their police car.
The festival was designed to help the school's students reclaim the experiences they missed out on during the Covid-19 pandemic and after its 2024 iteration, Kingmoor Nursery and Infant School headteacher Nicky Corfield explained more.
She said: "After Covid, we had wanted to arrange a day for our children that included some of the things that children had missed out on during the pandemic.
"As the years have passed it has grown and now has a festival theme.
"We aim to provide our children with a fun-filled day of amazing experiences where they can experience new things and meet new challenges.
"As a school mental Health and Well Being is at the heart of all we do and Kingfest helps children to explore, build resilience, connect with friends, and share new and exciting experiences."
This year, Kingfest was 'bigger than ever' and Nicky explained more about the day and how much the children enjoyed it.
She said: "This year was bigger than ever with fairground rides, karaoke bus, silent disco, hook a duck, coconut shy, bouncy castle, bar area, photo Booth, Police car, ice cream van, music, and much more."
