A country band will perform sounds from the Tennessee mountains and Georgian cowboy bars later this month.
Carlisle-based Kerry Weir said she has been honing her craft in ‘gritty northern pubs and clubs, forging a successful career as a solo singer’.
She also became a presenter on her show on Country Radio, and has surrounded herself with a band of seasoned musicians to form the Kerry Weir Band.
Audience members can expect to hear classics from the like of Dolly Parton and Reba McIntyre to the contemporary redneck country rock of Ashley McBryde, Luke Combs, Maren Morris, and Carrie Underwood, with a splash of Lainey Wilson, Shania Twain, and Taylor Swift.
A promo for the event, which will take place at Carlisle’s Old Fire Station on November 2, reads: “Kerry's performance comes from the heart, is delivered with passion and a sense of fun, and is complemented by the band's authentic feel and enthusiasm for making music, while always leaving room to allow Kerry's striking stage presence to shine.
“Make sure you take your dancing boots!”
