CHANGES have been made to bus prices across Cumbria as the provider 'works hard to keep ticket prices affordable' for users.
Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire have recently made changes to their ticket prices, from July 17.
- Single Fares remain capped at a maximum price of £2
- Some single fares below £2 have increased
- All 28 day and Xtra ticket prices remain frozen (28 day tickets will only be available online from 17th July)
- 1 day North West Explorer ticket prices remain frozen
- Return tickets will no longer be available
- Some Day/Week ticket prices have been revised
- Full details of new ticket prices are available on the website
Tom Waterhouse, Managing Director, Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire said: “We have worked hard to keep our ticket prices affordable for our customers and have kept many of our ticket prices frozen.
"However, like other businesses, industries and households, we are faced with increasing operational costs above inflation, including staff costs, vehicle parts, maintenance, insurance and utilities and have therefore had to take the difficult decision to raise some of our ticket prices to address these increasing costs”.
