A spectacular line-up of alfresco theatre is set to entertain Carlisle this summer courtesy of The Pantaloons theatre company.
Talkin Tarn Country Park will be the setting for these outdoor performances offering spectators a picturesque waterfront view.
People are encouraged to bring their own seating, and picnic hampers, though a tearoom kiosk will be open serving a selection of snacks and beverages.
Each performance commences at 7pm.
On July 25, the company will present Robin Hood penned by Mark Hayward.
Attendees are promised an adventurous and hilarious retelling of the beloved tales set in Sherwood Forest.
The interesting plot sees Prince John and the crafty Sheriff of Nottingham scheming to halt Robin Hood’s pernicious deeds.
The Pantaloons' version boasts live music and encourages audience interaction.
Set to tickle funny bones on August 29 is The Merry Wives of Windsor written by William Shakespeare.
A series of comical tricks are played on Sir John Falstaff, a struggling character endearing to fans of Shakespearean work, by two intelligent merchant wives whom he attempts to court.
The Pantaloons infuse their productions with abundant slapstick humour, creating unique and memorable interpretations of renowned plays.
Tickets for each performance are priced at £15 for adults and £9 for children, and can be purchased online from The Pantaloons website.
Tickets will also be available at the Talkin Tarn Country Park on the performance nights.
Through the summer of laughter and theatrics, Carlisle demonstrates its unwavering commitment to keeping the arts alive amidst the stunning natural environment.
