CUMBRIAN TV personality Helen Skelton has celebrated her birthday with many co-stars taking to social media to send the presenter best wishes on her special day.

The Penrith-born TV presenter celebrated her 41st birthday on July 19 with many of her co-presenters taking to social media to send special messages to the much-loved star.

Former BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker, who has worked with Helen on a number of shows took to social media, saying: "Happy Birthday Helen Skelton, long may she reign."

Helen is an ambassador for popular outdoor and activities brand Go Outdoors, who also took to Instagram to wish a happy birthday to the star.

In a post, Go Outdoors said: "A huge happy birthday to our amazing Go Outdoors ambassador Helen Skelton - we hope you have a great day (and the sun is shining for you)."

Helen has had a hugely successful TV career, starring in shows like Blue Peter, Strictly Come Dancing and Lorraine over her many years on the screen.
