A crash between a motorbike and a car has now cleared, police said.

A spokesperson from Cumbria police said officers were contacted at 5.34pm today (July 19) to a report of a crash on the M6 Southbound between junction 43 and 44 in the area of St John's Bridge, Carlisle.

They added that it was between a car and a motorbike, and while no injuries were reported, damage to one of the vehicles and a build-up of traffic were caused.

Speaking to the News and Star at 6.45pm, the police spokesperson said the incident was clear.
