A flower show will return for the 75th year next month.
The Thirlmere Open Flower Show will take place on August 3 at Thirlmere Recreation Hall from 3pm.
The show is traditional, with the focus being on flowers and arrangements, but stalls will also sell local crafts, bakes, eggs, honey, photography, and a children’s section will be included too.
This year will be the 75th Thirlmere Flower Show at the hall, since its first showing there in August 1949.
Entries for the event must be staged by 10am on the day so that they are ready for judging that morning.
The doors open at 3pm to the public with this year’s opener being Dr Alice Underwood from the Wool Clip presenting the cups.
As the show is open, anyone is welcome to enter.
