Two of the Lake District’s most iconic attractions have introduced ‘Kids go free Fridays’ between now and the end of the school summer holidays.

Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway and Ullswater ‘Steamers’ are bringing in the budget-busting move for families hoping to get out and about exploring the Lakes over the next 8 weeks.

Available only for online tickets, the offer runs until Friday 6 September and means one child can go free with every full-fare paying adult on full-line return journeys at La’al Ratty or any return on Ullswater ‘Steamers’.

The seven-mile steam train journey from Ravenglass - the only coastal village in the Lake District World Heritage site – takes passengers across the estuary and up into the stunning scenery of the Western Lake District.

Meanwhile, Ullswater ‘Steamers’ operates one of the world’s biggest heritage boat fleets, providing scenic lake cruises linking some of the Lakes’ most famous walking routes.
