A SECTION of a major Cumbrian road has been closed in both directions following a 'serious collision'.
National Highways are reporting that the A590 has been closed in both directions between A5092 at Greenodd and the A592 at Newby Bridge due to a 'serious collision'.
National Highways has said that they will update road users on the incident.
In a statement on social media, National Highways North West said: "The A590 in Cumbria is closed in both directions between A5092 Greenodd and the A592 Newbybridge due to a serious collision. More information to follow, thank you for your patience."
