DRIVERS in and around Carlisle will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A74(M), from 8pm July 21 to 7pm July 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 northbound and southbound, junction 43 to 45, Lane three closures for multiple cyclic activities in centre reserve and asset inspections.
And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A69, from 8pm July 24 to 6am July 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 northbound and southbound, junction 43 Rbt, Lane closure with switching with lane closures on Rbt for lamp column works.
• A69, from 7pm July 29 to 6am August 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A69 both directions Temon between Greenhead and Low Row - traffic signals with convoy working to carry our resurfacing.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
