A NIGHTCLUB in Whitehaven has been handed a new food hygiene rating.
Joe Bananas, on Duke Street, has been given a rating of 5 which is Very Good.
The hygienic handling of food including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling, and storage was found to be Good.
The cleanliness and condition of facilities and buildings were found to be Good as was the management of food safety.

The nightclub was given the maximum score after assessment on July 20, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
It means that of Cumberland's 321 pubs, bars, and nightclubs with ratings, 252 (79%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
