A Brampton secondary school has paid tribute to its 'dedicated' teacher who is set to leave the school after 23 years.
William Howard School has thanked Tracy Swan for the 'huge difference' she has made during her time at the school as its Sixth Form director of learning.
Tracy initially joined the secondary school in 2001 and during her time at the school helped numerous students achieve their goals beyond William Howard School, including playing a pivotal role in helping students secure places at universities up and down the country.
Tracy will now be moving into a new role at children's charity Barnardo's.
To mark her time at the school, Tracy was surprised by Year 12 students at William Howard School with special celebrations during her final assembly on Friday, July 19.
In addition, the school's headteacher Kath Pigdon was on hand to send a special message to Tracy ahead of her departure.
She said: "Tracy’s dedication, caring nature, and unending support have profoundly impacted our school community over the 23 years she has been at William Howard.
"Tracy has made a huge difference in the lives of countless students and staff, and her legacy will be felt for years to come."
