Cumberland Council is encouraging dog owners in the Heysham Park area of Carlisle to pick-up their dog poo.
The council has painted informative stencils onto the pavement in Heysham Park which tell owners to "clean it up."
The bright yellow designs are hard to miss and give "a gentle nudge" to dog owners to clean up their dog poo.
They have been undertaking this initiative in many different areas of the city including Chances Park and Stonegarth Parade.
In a post on Facebook, Cumberland Council wrote: "These informative stencils are part of our ongoing effort to educate the community about responsible dog ownership.
"A friendly reminder through our stencils helps reinforce good habits and ensures our parks and gardens remain clean and enjoyable for everyone."
