North Cumbria Integrated Care Trust (NCIC) has urged the public with O type blood to give blood to help a shortage.
There is a national shortage of O type blood with national stocks running low due to a hospital cyber attack and unfilled appointments.
The NHS has said that it 'urgently' needs O type blood donors. O negative blood can be given to anyone.

Nationally, there are over 12,000 appointments available over the next two weeks and NCIC has asked anybody who can to give blood to help rebuild stocks.
In a social media post, NCIC said: "If you are able to donate blood, please make an appointment to help us keep up the stock levels."
