Cumbria Police have issued a number of appeals which they need your help with.

A7 CRASH: 

Police are asking for anyone with information to come forward after a crash on the A7 between Sandysike and Longtown.

Officers were called to the collision at 2:27pm on July 26.

The collision involved a motorbike and a camper van.

The motorbike rider, a man in his 70s was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary by the Great North Air Ambulance Service with serious injuries.

The driver of the camper van was uninjured.

WORKINGTON:

Police are investigating the theft of a silver Volkswagen Sharan.

It was stolen from an address in Moorclose, Workington between July 18 and July 22.

Police are appealing for anyone who has seen what may be the vehicle in the Workington and Dearham area during those dates.

Officers are also requesting anyone with CCTV or dashcam which may have captured the vehicle to get in touch.

CUMBRIA:

Police have issued images of a quadbike and a moped, which they suspect may have been stolen.

Five vehicles are suspected to have been stolen from places including Grasmere and Silloth in late 2023.

As part of the overall investigation a man, aged 21, has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and bailed.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and ask to speak to PC 3210 Thwaite.

CARLISLE: 

Police are investigating an assault which occurred on Sunday, July 21 at approximately 7:45pm in Hammonds pond, Carlisle.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

The suspect is described a white male approximately 22-25 years old and was wearing a black baseball cap, a black top and grey shorts.

No one was inured during the incident.

AMBLESIDE: 

Police are investigating a road traffic collision involving a pedal cyclist and a Land Rover Discovery that occurred on Monday, July 8 at approximately 9:30am on A591 Rydal Road, Ambleside.

As a result of this collision the cyclist, a man in his 80s, received serious injuries and remains in hospital.

Police are interested in tracing a white Mercedes Vito van and a red hatchback that would have passed the cyclist just prior the collision.

Officers would also like to trace and speak with two walkers that were passing as the incident occurred and the driver of a white VW transporter that was directly behind the cyclist and the motor vehicle involved.
