While the ‘greatest show on earth’ may be underway on the other side of the channel, TV’s Dan Walker has been involved in a competition in the Lakes to rival the Olympics.
Dan Walker visited the Hope Park Crazy Golf centre in Keswick where he picked up his ‘coveted’ family and friends’ trophy with a huge nine under par score.
Dan said he managed to ‘reel’ in his son who started with four straight holes in one before taking home his ‘greatest sporting achievement’ – a sense of irony one presumes.
“Forget The Open and the Olympics, there was a huge moment at Hope Park Crazy Golf in Keswick today,” said Dan in a social media post.

“I managed to pick up the coveted Family & Friends Trophy with a nine-under-par 27 - 10 holes-in-one and four shots better than our last visit in 2022.
“My son started with 4 straight 1s but I managed to reel him in.
“The 4-year-old in the group behind us made a complaint about slow play, and the assembled kids didn’t want to be in the victory photo, but this might go down as my greatest sporting achievement.
