Promising young Cumbrian winger Johnny Emerson made a first-team outing for Newcastle United in pre-season.
Emerson, from Brampton, was a second-half substitute in the Magpies' 2-0 win at Hull City.
The teenager, who was this summer awarded a professional deal, came off the bench in the 74th minute at the MKM Stadium.
He joined senior players such as Dan Burn and Emil Krafth on the pitch, while Newcastle's starting line-up had also included Nick Pope, Joelinton, Harvey Barnes and Alexander Isak.
Emerson was one of a number of young players to get a chance in the second half, as Eddie Howe's side defeated their Championship hosts through goals by Isak and Jacob Murphy.
Emerson featured in front of 4,500 travelling fans in a 13,670 crowd.
The former Queen of the South academy player, 18, will now look to build on his pre-season outing when he returns to the Magpies' under-21 set-up.
Howe's first-team squad are now in Japan for the J-League International Series pre-season, where they will take on Urawa Red Diamonds and Yokohama F.Marinos.
Another Cumbrian not making the trip is Carlisle-born midfielder Joe White, who is ruled out with injury.
White, who made his Premier League debut for the Magpies last season, has a back injury, reports the Chronicle.
The 21-year-old will work on his fitness back at Newcastle ahead of a decision on whether he will remain in the first-team group or head back out on loan.
White has already gained loan experience with Hartlepool United, Exeter City and, last season, Crewe Alexandra.
After an impressive half-season with the Railwaymen, White was drafted into Howe's squad for the rest of the top-flight season, the skilful Cumbrian making four substitute appearances in the Premier League.
His debut came against AFC Bournemouth before further outings against Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace.
