POLICE were contacted at around 5am yesterday (July 28) to the report of a man being stabbed in the area of Court Square, Carlisle.
Officers attended the scene and located a man with a neck injury reported to have been caused by a bottle.
He was taken to Cumberland Infirmary.
A 29-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault GBH with intent.
She has been released on police bail.
