Cumbria Police have confirmed that a man fell to his death in the Lake District over the weekend.
Police were called yesterday (July 28) at around 11.24am to the report of a man having fallen at Striding Edge, Helvellyn, which is one of the Lake District's steepest ridges.
The man was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene, and his family have been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and Cumbria Police are liaising with HM Coroner.
