A WORKINGTON care home will have an increased capacity after planners at Cumberland Council approved a planning application for an extension with additional bedrooms.
The application was for The Fairways Care Home in Branthwaite Road and the planning approval is subject to a number of conditions.
An officer's report concludes: "The scheme accords with local plan policies and is recommended for approval accordingly subject to planning conditions."
According to the application form the walls would be brick and render, it would have concrete roof tiles, the doors and windows would be uPVC and it would create extra floorspace with an area of 104 square metres.
