PLANS for a slurry tower at a farm in the Wigton area have been submitted to Cumberland Council's planning department.
The application is for a site at Chalkside Farm, which covers a total area of 300 hectares, near Rosley and, according to the form the structure would have a roof.
According to the application form it would be 30m long, five metres to the eves and ridge, and 30m across.
The walls would be constructed from concrete and be grey in colour and the roof would also be grey.
According to the application form the land has been in agricultural use for just over 100 years and extra storage is needed at the site.
The planning application is currently being considered by planning officers at the council.
