Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team were called out to Buttermere last weekend to assist a man who was struggling with the heat.
As temperatures soared to their highest of the year so far in Cumbria, one walker in the Lake District found the weather too much.
Cockermouth Mountain Rescue said: "The team were called late on Sunday afternoon to walker in their late 70s who was struggling to continue. They were located around Buttermere Moss, just below the slopes of Robinson, and when the first team members arrived, it was clear that a big day on the fells in the heat had taken its toll, and a stretcher ride off the hill was going to be needed."
