'The Adventures of Dr. Dolittle' will take place at Lowther Castle in August.
The performance by Illyria on Wednesday, August 14 will raise funds for Friends of The Calvert Trust.
Tickets begin at £10, and all ticket holders will be granted free entry to the castle grounds and the adventure playground in Penrith all day on August 14.
The storyline of this musical version of Dr. Dolittle revolves around a village doctor living in Puddleby-On-The-Marsh.
Known for his generosity towards patients, he lives a simple life.
One day, with the assistance of his wise old parrot, Polynesia, he discovers he can communicate with animals.
Word of his unique talent spreads across the globe and he soon embarks on a quest to cure illness, spread kindness, and understand animals better.
Hugh Lofting's classic story is lauded for its powerful message of empathy, particularly towards the animal kingdom.
Illyia's production is a family-friendly musical which promises humour and adventures in store.
Hannah Richardson, chair of Friends of the Calvert Trust, said: "Come and join us for what promises to be a fantastic evening, raising funds for an amazing Cumbrian charity.
"Generous sponsorship from local companies means that 100 per cent of ticket sales will come to Friends of the Calvert Trust, supporting us to create outdoor adventures for people with disabilities.
"Bring the whole family to spend the afternoon at Lowther, have a picnic together and enjoy a wonderful performance.
"I look forward to seeing you there."
The show will start at 5.30pm.
The Friends of The Calvert Trust, a charity founded more than 35 years ago, promotes and supports all aspects of work done by The Lake District Calvert Trust.
It raises funds through subscriptions, donations, and ticketed events.
