A thriving community group in Cumbria marked its 75th anniversary with a celebration in July.
Around 300 members, leaders and families attended Cockermouth Scout Centre's final event of a summer which saw them celebrate an incredible 75 years.
The event featured food, marshmallows on the fire, raffle and side stalls including coconut shy and higher lower.
Group lead volunteer Steve said: "We also invested several members, celebrated the 15 members who have moved to their next scouting section whether Beavers, Cubs or Scouts. Lastly, several members were awarded the highest awards in their section, the Chief Scouts Awards.
"It was the last event of a year of celebrations of our 75th anniversary. Events have included a group camp to Great Tower, a trip to Windermere attended by 160 members and leaders where activities included high ropes, archery, tomahawks, leap of faith and crate stacking.
"Cockermouth Scouts has more than 170 members aged four to 17 supported by 40 leaders and helpers. New helpers, leaders and skills instructors are always welcome. This will help us to tackle our waiting list of almost 100 young people."
The group meets regularly on St Helens Street, with more details on how to join online.
