CUMBRIA Police are asking the public to share their thoughts on antisocial behaviour hotspots in West Cumbria. 

Officers are working on tackling antisocial behaviour and violence in the area as part of Operation Enhance. 

Residents are being asked to complete a survey and give their views on the ongoing issue. 

In a post on social media, Cumbria Police wrote: "Tell us your thoughts about anti-social behaviour and violence hotspots in West Cumbria.

"We, the police and crime commissioner and partners have secured £1 million of extra funding which will see extra patrols in 18 areas - including in Copeland - identified by statistical analysis as the county's hotspot areas of anti-social behaviour and serious violence.

"These areas include Workington Town Centre, Maryport Town Centre, Maryport South, Whitehaven Town Centre, and Cleator Moor."
