THE Rest Under the Stars display is now back at Carlisle Cathedral.
The art display has been put together at the Cathedral by Prism Arts.
This project first began in 2022 and has developed each year since.
In a post on social media, Carlisle Cathedral said: "This year's installation is better than ever, as seven awnings - made whilst the experience has been on its Cumbrian Journey - have been displayed in the South Aisle of the Cathedral, inviting you to take a journey of your own as you make your way down to the deckchairs, an original element of the project created in 2022.
"There are also three new soundscapes to enjoy whilst you rest under our starry ceiling, representing the regions of Carlisle, the Eden Valley, and West Cumberland.
"The installation has visited St Lawrence's, Crosby Ravensworth, St Lawrence's Church, Appleby-in-Westmorland, St Stephen's Church, Kirkby Stephen, St Mary's, Kirkby Lonsdale, St Bees Priory Church and St Mary's and St Michael's, Egremont, St Michael's Church, Workington, St John's Workington, St Mary's Westfield and St Andrew's Church Thursby, with Prism Arts hosting creative workshops in each area to create the awnings and new soundscapes.
"We would like to thank every community for hosting and engaging with the project and workshops.
"Thank you also to our tour funders, #UKSPF and Hayward Tod, for making this project possible, and to The High Sheriff of Cumbria for joining us last night.
"Rest Under The Stars will be on display until the beginning of September, with the soundscapes available Monday to Saturday, 10am - 4pm."
