CARLISLE Youth Zone (CYZ) has officially opened its brand new 'MeZone' room.
The room was opened at the Youth Zone's site on Victoria Place on Tuesday, July 30, with members accompanying local businesses Innovia and Motus Commerical, who made the project possible, at the opening.
The MeZone is designed to provide a quiet space at Carlisle Youth Zone and allow young people to progress across areas in the provisions they are involved in at CYZ.
Speaking previously, Emma Rogerson, development manager at Carlisle Youth Zone, explained more about the room.
She said: "The MeZone will provide a quiet space in our busy clubs to allow young people to complete 'MeApps' which are tools we use to measure member's progress across multiple areas in the provisions they take part in at CYZ.
"Having this space designated for those things means that we will be able to facilitate more conversations, learn more about how our programs are working to enhance young people's wellbeing, and most importantly, provide children with a unique and relaxing environment to do these things in."
