A Carlisle fitness trainer has pledged to provide a 'safe and friendly' environment at her upcoming mum-focused classes.
LR Fitness is run by Linda Richardson and is set to host her 'HIIT followed by a picnic in the park' event at Crosby-on-Eden Parish Hall on Tuesday, August 6, and The Belah Centre on Thursday, August 8.
Linda started her fitness group in 2022 and aims to provide tailored classes and a welcoming environment for women and mums in the local area.
Ahead of the events, Linda explained more about LR Fitness and its overarching mission.
She said: "I run a range of classes with women in mind.
"My HiiT Fit classes are suitable for all women including those who are pre and post-natal.
"These sessions are circuit-based with the focus being on strength and cardio workouts that can be adapted to suit all fitness levels so each individual gets the most out of their workout.
"Within this class, we provide the added benefit of ladies with children to be able to bring them along too and the kids can either play in the play zone or join in with their mums and workout too.
"LR Fitness aims to shine a positive light on all women to be able to workout in a safe and friendly environment and for the younger generation to see such positivity in fitness as well as making working out a natural and fun activity in everyone's lives."
Linda also encouraged locals to get involved with the sessions which are also created to allows mums to bring their children during the summer holidays.
She said: "If you're looking for a little 'me time' without the mum guilt then our HiiT Fit and Picnic is for you.
"It's all about balance.
"A workout to release all those important endorphins then a play and picnic in the park to bring the ladies and little ones together and enjoy a time to fully socialise and play without the sweat of a workout stinging the eyes."
