THE public is being given the chance to see a Bronze Age ring in a West Cumbrian museum.
The Beacon in Whitehaven has put the artefact on display for visitors to come and admire.
The ring is at the museum thanks to work between The Beacon and Tullie, Carlisle.
In a post on social media, The Beacon wrote: "Don't miss your chance to see this beautiful Bronze Age arm ring while it's at The Beacon Museum.
A joint acquisition between The Beacon Museum and Tullie, Carlisle, this exceptionally rare find is one of few gold Bronze Age objects found in Cumbria and will be on display in our 3rd-floor gallery until September 1, 2024, after which it will be displayed at Tullie.
"Purchased with support from Art Fund, Arts Council England/V&A Purchase Grant Fund, Cumberland Council, Cumberland and Westmorland Antiquarian and Archaeological Society, and Portable Antiquities Scheme."
