A retro batmobile is set to feature at a Carlisle shopping centre's first-ever comic convention.
The iconic vehicle from Tim Burton's Batman, which was released in 1989 and featured Michael Keaton as the caped crusader and Jack Nicholson as the Joker, will feature at the Lanes Shopping Centre's first 'Lanes Con'
The event will take place on Saturday, August 3 between 10 am and 3 pm along Peascod Lane and East Tower Lane.
The event is also set to feature a DJ playing a comic book-inspired playlist as well as a costume competition.
Ahead of the event, The Lanes Shopping Centre's centre manager expressed her delight at being able to launch its first-ever comic convention.
She said: "The Lanes Shopping Centre, Carlisle is hosting its first-ever 'Lanes Con' this weekend - an event celebrating comic culture with the Tim Burton 1989 Bat mobile being the star attraction.
"There will be stalls, face painting, a DJ playing a music soundtrack from Comic Book movies, a Batman statue for a photo opportunity and a costume competition for both under 16’s and over 16’s with a first place prize of £100 in each competition."
