A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drugs following a roadside drug test in Eden.
Police arrested a woman on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of cannabis during a mobile patrol on the A6 yesterday evening, August 2.
The woman was arrested after failing a roadside drug test carried out by officers from Eden police.
In a statement on social media, Eden police said: "Eden Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant 2141 and Ch/Insp 822 on mobile patrol in Eden area this evening. 1 female arrested on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of cannabis on the A6 after failing a roadside drug test.
"We will continue to target those who drive on our roads whilst under the influence of drink or drugs, to make our community a safer place."
