NEW research conducted by a boot company has found that the Lake District is the most popular walking destination in the United Kingdom.
Research conducted by AussieBoots has revealed the top hiking destinations in the North West by analysing Google search data on popular hiking destinations in the region.

The Lake District topped the top 10 list with an astonishing 301,000 average monthly searches in the United Kingdom between July 2023 and June 2024 placing the location at the top of the UK list overall.
Popular hiking trails in those areas include the Cumbria Way Walk; a breathtaking and extremely long 73-mile hike with spectacular views of the Lake District taking an average of five days to complete.
