Cumberland citizens have been invited to donate items for a clothes swapping event targeting care-experienced young people.
The event, which is being held on September 27 during Sustainable Fashion Week, aims to encourage more sustainable fashion habits and reduce waste.
It is aimed at people aged between 16 and 25, with priority slots for those who have experienced care.
The clothes swap will take place at the Family Hub on the Harbour in Whitehaven and will be open from 5pm to 7pm.
However, the early bird entry for care-experienced young individuals will start at 4.30pm.
Donations needed include clean clothes and accessories of good quality, suitable for young adults including T-shirts, coats, trousers, dresses, shoes, scarves, belts, and even hangers to display the clothing.
Volunteers with skills in sewing or textiles are also needed to be on hand to provide alterations on the spot and to share their skills.
Councillor Emma Williamson, executive member for children and family wellbeing and housing, said: "Please do donate good quality clothes that could benefit our young people.
"If you have sewing skills, you could make a big difference by helping to tailor items or upcycle them.
"Even better, you could share your skills and teach people how to do it themselves."
If you wish to make donations or volunteer your sewing skills, you can contact Rebecca Barnes via Rebecca.barnes@cumberland.gov.uk.
Alternatively, you can drop off your donations at the Family Hub on the Harbour, located on Swingpump Lane, Whitehaven, CA28 7LZ.
