Classical music fans are in for a treat as a new season of concerts by Royal Northern Sinfonia and a lineup of visiting artists has been announced for The Sands Centre for 2024/25.
The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will set the ball rolling with a performance of Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony and Brahms’ Serenade under the guidance of Domingo Hindoyal on September 27.
Then on October 11, Craig Ogden will perform Rodrigo's Guitar Concerto, the Concerto de Aranjuez.
Saturday, November 9, will see Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony and Mozart's Paris Symphony conducted by Thomas Zehetmair.
The next concert in the season will be at St Cuthbert’s Church on Thursday, November 28, with Royal Northern Sinfonia by Candlelight, directed by Maria Włoszczowska, the orchestras new artistic partner.
The sinfonia will be back on March 23, 2025, with Bach’s Violin Concertos, led by Maria Włoszczowska, at St Cuthbert's, in a concert which will also include movements from Orchestral Suit No. 3.
Mozart’s Violin Concerto, again under the direction of Maria Włoszczowska, will take place on April 13.
The final concert of the season takes place on May 24 featuring violinist Inmo Yang and the BBC Philharmonic led by Martyn Brabbins.
They are set to perform Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto as well as Rimsky-Korsakov’s Arabian Nights.

Tickets for all concerts are £28, with £10 tickets for those below 30 years.
