POLICE are investigating an assault that occurred on July 20, 2024 at around 7.45pm on Newtown Road in Carlisle.
It has been alleged that while the victim has been walking down Newtown Road a full plastic drinks bottle has been thrown from what is believed to be a white van.
This has caused injury to the victim - a woman in her 40s - leading to medical attention being sought.

Officers are asking for any assistance from the public who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam footage.
