A CRITICALLY acclaimed comedy-drama is coming to Carlisle's Green Room Theatre next week.
From the team that brought last summer’s Sweeney Todd to the West Walls Theatre, The Last Quiz Night on Earth promises hilarity and heartbreak.
The plot centres around a massive asteroid heading towards Earth, but instead of panicking, landlady Kathy and quizmaster Rav conduct the ultimate pub quiz at their local, The Four Horsemen.
As the apocalypse nears, unexpected guests turn up – one hoping to renew a teenage romance and the other to make reparations before it’s too late.
Director Jason Munn encourages the audience to participate in an actual quiz during the play.
"Don't worry. You won't be asked to come on stage or anything like that, but just enjoy the quiz and test your general knowledge with our brain teasers during the play.
"Come as a group, book your seats together, and get involved in our interactive play/pub quiz," he said.
The Last Quiz Night on Earth runs from August 12 to August 17.
Doors open at 6.30pm, and the show begins at 7.30pm.
Tickets can be purchased on the website: carlislegreenroom.uk, from the Carlisle Tourist Information Centre on 01228 598596, or at the door, if available.
