THIS is the first look inside the new Indian restaurant, Zurri Bar & Restaurant, which is set to to open in Carlisle. 

Zurri Bar & Restaurant is set to be opened on Wednesday, August 14 by Carlisle takeaway owners Koyes 'Kaz' Uddin and Shazidur Rahman. 

(Image: Supplied) The restaurant will be located on London Road and will occupy the unit previously occupied by Bluerare.

(Image: Supplied) Ahead of its grand opening, Kaz and Shazidur are also preparing to host a private ceremony for close family, friends, and customers of their respective takeaway Spice Fusion Longtown and Imon Tandoori on Tuesday, August 13. 

(Image: Supplied) Before the restaurant's official opening, the pair gave the News & Star an exclusive look inside their new spot.

(Image: Supplied) Speaking previously about the new restaurant, Kaz said: "Me and my business partner have been in the restaurant business since our early working lives and we have always wanted to open a restaurant.

(Image: Supplied) "For the past few years, we have been looking for a location that would be suitable for us and recently we found this place and think that it ticks all the boxes.

(Image: Supplied) Kaz also discussed how the restaurant will stand out from other spots in the city, with a focus on simple but quality food and an impressive interior.

(Image: Supplied) "We want to bring something that has a nice vibe and a nice feel and we want to do something in Carlisle with beautiful decor.
