Graham Arms Inn has been named News & Star 'Best Pub 2024'.
The pub, on Longtown's English Street, has been named the best pub in the region by News & Star readers.
Ten local pubs were chosen by readers as finalists in the competition and were fiercely supported by fanatics across the two-week voting period.
However, after counting all the votes the Graham Arms Inn has emerged victorious.
Vanessa Luckley owns the Inn and was elated after learning that her pub, which she took over in November 2023, had been chosen by News & Star readers as the 'Best Pub 2024'.
She said: "We are absolutely over the moon to hear that we have been chosen for Best Pub 2024.
"Me, my daughter Emma and her partner Liam bought the Graham Arms Inn in November 2023 after Emma had worked here for 5 years and we have put a lot of hard work into making our dream happen.
"We are absolutely amazed and delighted that we have won."
For Vanessa, winning the News & Star's 'Best Pub 2024' award would not have been possible without the support of their customers and loyal regulars, to whom he said a special thank you.
She said: "We are so grateful and thankful for all of our amazing customers and guests who have voted for us and also supported us not only us since we took over.
"We are blessed to have such loyal lovely customers who we look forward to seeing every day.
"Everyone who comes in is part of the big family here and everybody knows everyone, it’s a nice friendly place to be and everyone loves the craic every day.
"We are grateful for our regulars and hotel guests who continue to support us every day."
Vanessa also paid special tribute to the Inn's staff for their hard work which has made the pub such a local favourite.
In addition, she shared her excitement ahead of the pub's one-year anniversary, which has been more sweet by their award win.
She said: "We are immensely proud of all our hardworking staff, and for accepting the change of ownership and working continuously hard throughout the process.
"We all work together as a team, always helping each other out in all departments bar, restaurant, and rooms when needed.
"The Graham Arms is a family-run business and it always has been a local family-run business.
"We are grateful to the previous, local family owners for making our dream journey come true.
"We can’t wait to celebrate with our customers and amazing staff at our one-year anniversary party on Saturday, November 16.
