A WEST Cumbrian rescue team were called out to a jet ski 'in difficulty' off the Cumbrian coast over the weekend.
Maryport Rescue and Maryport Lifeboat were called out on Sunday, August 11, just after 5pm to reports of a jet ski in difficulty just off the coast of Flimby.
In a statement on social media, Maryport Rescue said: "The team were called out by Belfast Coastguard to reports of a jet ski in difficulty just off Flimby .
"As the team were just sorting out from the Taste Of The Sea Weekend crews were already on station and quickly launched the e.on Spirit of Maryport Lifeboat and proceeded to the area, quickly located the jet ski and its owner and towed it back to the slipway where it was met by colleagues from Maryport Coastguard Rescue Team.
"The operation was also observed by one of our drone pilots."
